The white lighter curse is an urban legend based on the "27 Club" referring to a group of influential musicians and artists who all tragically died at the age of 27 supposedly with a white lighter in their pocket. Notable members include Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse.
